Walnut, Antique glass. 40"W, 14"D, 34"T
This cabinet blends elements from traditional furniture with its moldings and edge profiles with the proportions and simplicity of modernism. The simplicity of this design belies the complexity of the construction. The glass, which came from a 1700s home in Massachusetts, was cut by hand and each pane placed in its own barred frame. Other construction techniques include housed tapered dovetails to connect the top and a Japanese-inspired miter and tenon combination to build the base.
